My last topic might have disappeared, so I hope this is not a duplicate. Anyways here goes.
this is how the challenge works:
1. Go to Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) and hit "random article" on the left hand side (it's a link near the top). The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your musician(s) or band.
2. Go to Quotations ( http://www.quotationspage.com) and hit "random quotes" on the left. Scroll down to the end of the page. The last 4-6 words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your album.
3. Now go and find (or take!) a photo of yours that fits the album name and artist(s). (Remember album covers are usually square.)
4. Use your favourite editing program to create your cover. You can use any image of yours for the album, old or new, but you must use your own images.
5. Enter your album(s) in the challenge by tagging it with “albumcoverchallenge28”
The challenge will run from today Friday 25th April until Sunday May 4th All entries must be posted between now and then. There's no limit to the number of entries you can post; just make sure to tag them as instructed above.
Why not share your entries with the rest of us by posting them on this thread? Don't forget to tag them as well or they won't get entered!
Ok, so I got ... will give it a try as not too bad!
John King (ukulelist)
Throw a hero in her way
from quote
But when a young lady is to be a heroine, the perverseness of forty surrounding families cannot prevent her. Something must and will happen to throw a hero in her way. Jane Austen (1775 - 1817), Northanger Abbey
Artist: Pedro Iznaga (A Cuban indoor vollyball player)
Album: "When There's Evidence of Any Thinking"
Quote: "I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it." - Terry Pratchett
Anton Alekseyevich Piskunov ( Russian football player)
and I got a great quote, just not sure yet which words to choose from it , I think 'fear is a question' is better than 'self-knowledge if you explore them', don't you ?
Fear is a question: What are you afraid of, and why? Just as the seed of health is in illness, because illness contains information, your fears are a treasure house of self-knowledge if you explore them.
I thought it would be fun to give this challenge a try...
Collectivism and Some reason in madness
(There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness. Friedrich Nietzsche)
Got my snails out and had lots of fun making this:

quote "some don't turn up at all"
Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.

The opposite of talking is waiting.

Title : Without any regrets or reservation
(original quote : Happiness is essentially a state of going somewhere, wholeheartedly, one-directionally, without regret or reservation)
Here's mine--
One must desire something to be alive.

Humm....I'll have to think on that one!
Lion sermon, name of musician
"that's the essence of inhumanity." -- George Bernard Shaw (1856 - 1950), "The Devil's Disciple" (1901), act II
original quote: "The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them: that's the essence of inhumanity."
This should be interesting, I'll see what I can do.
Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900)
Let's see how we go
