New Composite Challenge

October 8th, 2021
Well that was something else! Winning the composite39 challenge against so many stunning entries. Many thanks to Katy @grammyn for hosting and thanks to all who entered and those who took the time to vote. And now on to the next round. I will follow Katy's lead and go with no theme once again. I feel that this is the best way to encourage creativity. Let your imaginations run wild with no restrictions.

“Compositing is the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are part of the same scene. (Wikipedia)”

I encourage those who have never tried compositing to give it a go and to that end there are a great many free Photoshop tutorials online ( from beginner to expert)
Here is a good one from Phlearn: https://youtu.be/fOgtJH4aGFo

If you happen to use On1: https://youtu.be/a8kh7a3kbUs

Here are a couple of other sites that might be helpful.

There are many more apps out there and you may already have a favorite.

For the composite challenge here on 365 you must use at least one picture that is completely yours but you can blend in other images, such as stock images, stickers or transparent gifs if you so choose.

*Just keep in mind that should you use an image that is not yours it should be licensed as free to use for any purpose.

You are very welcome to enter as many times as you wish but only one entry from any contestant may be chosen as a finalist.

The challenge details:
Start date:Backdated to October 1st (When the last challenge ended)
End date: Midnight, Sunday November 7 in your respective time zones
