First off, my apologies for the late start of this new challenge. My success in the last challenge coincided with a maelstrom of Christmas madness, far too much to do, and not enough time to do it.
Thank you very much to Wylie @pusspup for hosting the last challenge, and to all those who took part, and especially those who voted for my entry, I was surprised and delighted to win.
So let's get the new challenge going at long last.
Landscape photography is more than taking the camera outside to capture an expanse of space. It is the art of capturing pictures of nature and the outdoors in a way that brings your viewer into the scene. From grand landscapes to intimate details, the best photos demonstrate the photographer’s own connection to nature and capture the essence of the world around them (Nicked and adapted by @30pics4jackiesdiamond from https://photographylife.com/landscapes)
I know only too well, just how busy this time of the year can be for people. Maybe taking photographs is not any where near the top of your to do lists.
However, it can also open up brand new opportunities. Time off work, or maybe walking off the excesses of too much celebrating, maybe, ( where it is allowed) travelling to see friends and family in locations you don't often get to, could all offer the chance to take part in this new challenge.
I have decided that, there won't be a specific theme for Landscape 44. It will be wide open as just a landscape image, this should help people to take part at this busy time.
The challenge opens for images taken on or after the 4th Dec.
As I am so late posting this I will extend the closing date till 15th January 2022.
