Composite Challenge 44 – Please Have a Go 😊

February 15th, 2022
Many thanks to Sally @salza for hosting the last round of the Composite Challenge. Thank you also to those entered and to everyone who voted. I’m delighted to have won against some stiff competition.

As with previous rounds, I’ve decided to backdate the challenge to the end date of the previous challenge. And there won’t be any theme again this time. Composite images can be as realistic or fantastic as you’d like to make them, and are only limited by your imagination. Google “composite photography” and you’ll see some amazing examples: https://www.google.com/search?q=composite+photography&newwindow=1&rlz=1C1CHBF_enNZ916NZ916&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwils46t_4D2AhXNHLkGHSo2B-0Q_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=1920&bih=929&dpr=1

Wikipedia describes compositing as “the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are part of the same scene."

If you've done this before you know it can be fun and each time one does it, it seems to get a bit easier (all those layers!) Spend a little time with a post-processing programme.

For the Composite Challenge here on 365 you must use at least one picture that is completely yours but you can blend in other images, such as stock images, stickers or transparent gifs if you so choose.
*Please keep in mind that should you use an image that is not yours, it should be licensed as free to use for any purpose.

You are very welcome to enter as many times as you wish but only one entry from any contestant may be chosen as a finalist.

The challenge details:
Start date – Sunday 6 February 2022
End date – Saturday 12 March 2022
Tag – composite44

See entries here: https://365project.org/tags/composite44

If you've created a composite before, you know how much fun it is and how much you learned doing it.

If you haven't, now is the time to take the plunge and give it a go. You'll never know until you try.
