I think there are things from the past we would like to hold on to, either because they are valuable or simply beautiful. If you have something, household product that is vintage (more than 50 year old...hmm..not a person) please post here.
the large leaf at the front left side was a wedding present to my parents who were married in 1950
this piano was my husbands grandmothers & is from the very early 1900's at least
& this photo album belonged to my husbands other grandmother & the photos date from the late 1920's upwards
I still use this once in a while, I have a fireworks picture posted on this site. Camera was patented from 1897 to 1904 and yes, American Made
It uses 120 film which is still available,b/w and color. I use Coopers Imaging in Norwich,CT for processing
I posted this picture & then saw this thread after! Haha I thought it was such a funny coincidence =] I love everything Vintage, so it's gonna be cool to see everyones posts.
I found this great scale while antique shopping.
It only makes sense to start collecting vintage cameras...don't you think?
These knobs were in a dusty old box out in my Papa's barn. While visting my Mammie a.k.a Grandma, last summer, I decided to bring them home and use them to make something. A couple of months later I came across this board while on a photo shoot. Now it's where I hang my scarves and hats :)
I found this old 30's model typewriter at a different antique store a few months back...I just love it!
This is one of my vintage 35mm RF cameras. It is a Soviet clone of the Zeiss-Ikon Contax II. When WW2 ended, the Soviets took the entire Z-I factory from Suhl, Germany, and transported, by rail, all the machinery, parts, plans, material and, in some cases personnel, to build the camera in Kiev, Ukraine. The camera is known as the Kiev. This one was built in 1954.
Vintage 1923. I wore the dress to my high school prom. The theme was "Roaring 20s" so I scavenged a local vintage shop for the perfect dress. I've been waiting for the right time to wear it again.
I've taken about a half-dozen photos of "vintage" stuff this year, but this is my favorite - the interior of my great-grandfather's 1931 Model A Ford Pickup
This camera went with my Grandfather to the China, India, Burma Theater during World War II. I am so proud to own it, along with his photo album containing shots taken during is tour of duty.
my father in law just found this in his basement actually and gave it to me.
a very old hymnal
you can barely see it but I am holding an old video camera
and I am guessing this mirror belonged to my sister-in-law's mom or grandmom
This from the mid 1930's

The picture is old, the lamp is old, the little note is old, and the desk it is sitting on is old.
Here is my take.

Old piano we had for awhile. It was a staple in my grandparents house before they moved to the west coast.
My great aunt's button tin is full of historic relics including an FDR campaign button.
