Time to Celebrate! MFPIAC 117 is Underway

November 10th, 2022
Many thanks to Milanie @milaniet for hosting 116 and thanks to all who participated in the challenge and all who took the time to view and vote on the finalists. It was my honour to be chosen to host this next round.

Placing photographs in a collage is a powerful way to present thematically connected images. A carefully considered and well designed collage gives your images a power that they might not otherwise have when viewed individually. Theme is important and since, in America, Thanksgiving is approaching to be followed around the world by Hanukah and Christmas I thought that an appropriate theme would be Celebration. By no means restrict yourself to the holidays I mentioned. It might be a birthday, a wedding, a baby shower. Whatever the cause for celebration if you have six photos of it you are good to go. You may use photos from your archives or take six specifically for the challenge but they must be photos taken by you.

Your collage can be any shape, but MUST contain 6 photos.

Photo collage making apps that are popular include PhotoCollage, PicCollage, PiZapare , PicsArt. Picmonkey, Ipiccy, Befunky and Moldiv. You can also use free web collage makers, and PS users can use Adobe's online collage maker.

Feel free to post your collage in the thread below as it inspires others, showcases your entry and keeps the thread active.

The start date for this is November 9, 2022 ( Starting date doesn't really matter here because, for this challenge, you can use pictures taken before the official start date.)
The closing date will be December 27, 2022 (This date makes it a lengthy challenge but I wanted to include Christmas for those of you who wish to make that day part of your collage.)

One final thought. Please try to tell a story with your collage. Don't post 6 pictures of people sitting around the table eating Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. When choosing the finalists I will give preference to story telling.
