Hi everyone I have chosen Neil Driver, a contemporary New Zealand painter for this round of the Artist challenge.
He is known for his beautifully calm still lifes and interiors, painted with realism, and landscape paintings which are somewhat surreal because they combine scenery with windows and door frames, making a view which doesn't actually exist .
You may need to do some editing to achieve this look with your photography, but also any image inspired by his works in subject matter or ideas can be tagged.
Not everybody has access to a New Zealand landscape outside their door of course, but for this challenge you could use scenic holiday snaps you have taken in the past and re-frame them with windows you find during this challenge for example . His still life works are a good study in composition with minimal objects, and the interiors celebrate natural light . Hopefully this makes the challenge accessible for most . Give it a try!
