This is Fathers Day & dad loves owls so I wanted to add this to the Fathers Day dicussion. As my dad is 90 & now very imobile there was not a lot I could get him him for a suprise today. However I enlarged this to 8x10 put in a frame & he loved it. Currently it is sitting next to his bed waiting to go home with him when he's better.
OK - I've never done this before (posted more than once), but I just remembered this beautiful one of Anthony M. Buccigrossi Sr. - who passed away on 4/5/11 and whose portrait was posted that day by his son Brian Buccigrossi @buccigrossi. I'd neglected to fav it (corrected now) and it took me forever to find it again. Look at that twinkle in his eyes.

This wasn't taken on Father's Day but it was a special week for both my dad and me. I took him to Colorado for a week-long photo shoot. We traveled home on Father's Day but the memories will last forever. Here he has climbed a small hill at 11,000 feet and is enjoying the view (or catching his breath) before raising his camera.

I took this photo several years ago when my family went on a month-long trip across America. My dad wanted his children to see their own country and have a pile of wonderful memories...that's just the kind of guy he is!
@Weezilou Love that shot! Which one is you? @jessicapena So sweet. It doesn't come naturally to daddies to do little girl's hair. He gets points in my book.
@photodoll That's my husband Ken with our daughters, Heather and Ashley. Heather's turning 40 in July and Ashley has a baby of her own now! Time flies!!

He's lost that 70's look, watched his girls grow and added a grandson to his Father's Day this year. His family thinks he's as good as it gets!
