After the movie challenge for July, I need to get back on planet earth again.. And as my son turns 2 this month (the terrible two's??) I've decided to do a whole month about him. Not just pics of him, but also pictures of things that interest him at this moment.
I'll be playing around a lot with editing again, but will try to get a few SOOC's in there as well ;-)
I'm tagging these with august-childchallenge, feel free to join and/or place your August-child pics on this thread. (no mater what age the "child" )
Hey...great minds think alike:) I'm doing an entire month of portraiture of my daughter this month too! She turns 2 in September:) Here's my shot for today:
I'll have to go back and tag the past couple of days.
So many gorgeous shots - not sure if my shots count for this tag as my entire project is my daughter from birth to age one! But here's my shot from yesterday:
I had the most trouble when my kids turned three. The his is a great idea though! My nephew will be turning 1 this month and my niece will be turning 7. Their dad (my brother) has his birthday this month too. They've got August and me and my kids got February :) I'm sure I'll have a few photos to add to this one.
I struggled with my project in July and I've come to realize that when I try not to photograph my children, my inspiration lacks. They are my true muses. I think I will try to join you! Great idea!
There are great pics!
I posted a kid picture just by accident today, didn't know about the challenge. Great idea. I may not participate daily but I'll think about it when looking for ideas.
This is a compilation of my youth shots in Mindanao, Philippines while doing a documentary for UNDP. Just like any of us, they are also dreaming and hoping for a better life... a promising future.
@elke Your cloned babies are great fun. I read your caption after I looked at the picture , and i thought to myself this little guy is so cute and he is intelligent , looks as if he is having a conversation with buddy,( with his back to us. )Who's the intelligent one now, not me. This is a great photo , and your little man is darling
I'm gonna be cheeky and post this because he's under 18! Hope this isnt bending the rules :) At this age (16) we think we're mature because if we compare our current selves with every other time in our life, we're the most inspired and independent we've ever been. But we have so much to learn and we're not perfect yet :P The look on his face seems a little determined, as though he's insisting something? Like he already knows who he is...And yet his face is so different from the open, innocent faces of younger children. It's a crossing-place I guess :)
What a fun challenge! I love photos of children, and there are some fantastic ones on here.
I didn't even know about this theme until today, but I happened to get a photo of one of my nephews the other day, so here it is:
A few more of mine from this month, while I obviously enjoy photographing my two boys it's been hard to try and come up with different types of photos.
Our Summer Holidays have involved us being stuck indoors for 3 weeks while the boys had chicken pox, here they are on the first trip out after all that, can you feel the excitement?
And someone hasn't always been in the mood for photos
@lolanae What a fun shot.
I'll have to go back and tag the past couple of days.
