Need blog hosting recommendations. Want to start a tree blog w/photos & text

I am thinking of starting a blog about the trees in my area, with my own photos and some text. I have never done a blog before. Does anyone know of a free site that would host this that is attractive, photo friendly, and easy to use? Thanks.

I use the free version of wordpress.com. This offers a number of 'themes' (= essentially the format of the pages and site) suited for photography. My site uses the 'Revelar' theme which allows a large featured photo on each post, plus galleries if required. Here is such a page:

@laroque I enjoyed looking at your blog Tim, interesting variety of photos and I could even get the gist of the text with my very minimal understanding of the French language! Then I realised it could be changed to English too :) It is a good recommendation for a website.
