I took my little one on a firestation tour today. He was just ecstatic, but moved way too fast for me to get many good shots of him. I did capture one ear to ear grin, but I didn't have time to adjust the settings on my camera first.
I played around with it in picnik, but not very happy with the results.
I'm still learning how to process photos- and doing it by just playing around with things in Picnik- so I don't know what kind of things you could do to the lighting and such. But from a purely SOOC aspect, I'm thinking you could crop the picture and get rid of some of the roof and seat which would make your little guy become more prominent. Just a thought.
@olivetreeann Thanks for your input. I'll try cropping it when I get back on the computer tomorrow. I was also wondering if there was a way to fix the over exposed face.
you could try tweaking in curves and see if you can bring down the exposure in the face - the other thought was layering and taking the background down a bit - blurring or softening
In picnik you can change the exposure settings to lighten it up a bit. I would also crop it quite a bit and give it just a little HDR treatment. It might also be worth playing with the colour a bit to highlight the subject a bit more. Good luck
