how to improve photo

I have an out-of-focus shot here of a koruna coin and I am wondering how I can get a good shot of this, or any coin for that matter. I have taken several shots of it and I think this is the best one I could get and it is still horrible. I have gotten one suggestion already but maybe more would help. I have an Aiptek DZO-V3T digital camcorder that takes photos and videos by the way- if that helps. I have looked through the manual at the menu items and I don't see macro as any of the options. I do have smart zoom which supposedly gets you a clearer image when you zoom in/out. There are also two different settings for taking photos, far-away and closeup.

Sorry Sam, without a macro, you'd have to photograph it from futher away so its in focus, and then just crop the image on the computer so its bigger in the frame. It wont have as much detail as a macro lens, but at least you'd have something!! Be better too to photograph it on a plain piece of paper, at least that's my personal choice :-) Good luck.

Your best bet would be to invest in a point-and-shoot camera, they are not that expensive these days and have the ability to shoot macro.

Anyway, here is a shot of an old German Deutsch Mark I did sometime ago....

@blightygal Thanks. I will consider that.
