Arches

This lych gate - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lychgate - is the entrance to the churchyard of our parish church. It's opposite the top entrance to the Heron Path (please see http://365project.org/dulciknit/on-the-day-extr/2011-07-05). I walked the path again today and took this view. It's not the first time I've taken a photo of it. They turn out fine but I've never been quite happy with them. Today I decided to experiment and tried this pencil sketch effect. I liked it because it's just the sort of subject I can imagine an artist would make a pencil drawing of.
It works best with the black border in magnified view . (Note to self - next time you do something like this, give it a black frame when p.p.ing )
