Gatekeeper

This is a female Gatekeeper butterfly (said she knowledgeably - thank you Google!)
I realised this afternoon that I hadn't taken a walk round the garden for ages. When I did I was very surprised to find this butterfly and even more surprised when it didn't fly off before I had a chance to line the camera up. Even better, it stayed put for quite some time.
