SerenDRIPity

Works best on magnified view.

"Serendipity - the occurence and development of events by chance in a happy and beneficial way."

Some time ago I was taking some shots and didn't realise I'd left my p&s on its HDR setting. I found that some light rays in the picture had kind of split in a way I liked. The idea got filed away for future use. This morning there was a mist which the sun quickly burned off. While that was happening I tried out the HDR setting on some water drips on our old apple tree. This was my preferred photo. I've adjusted the levels and contrast and removed some noise (?) from the shot.
Wow, fabulous. A fav!

Sorry for my ignorance but what are p&s and HDR? I have been trying to capture flares with the low November sun with no success at all. This is absolutely amazing!! FAV!

Thank you, everyone :-)
@anitahoyle Thank you, Anita :-) Point and Shoot = a camera that you point at what you want and then just press the button because it does most of it for you.

I've got a setting on my camera that gets the camera to mimic an HDR picture - you get this sort of thing -

@anitahoyle I don't really understand HDR, btw - I just know that this is what the setting's called and you get that sort of result when you use it!!
:-D

@dulciknit Thanks. Should have worked out point and shoot, but dont think I have HDR on my camera. I'm still learning.
