St. Bartholomew's in the sunlight

Lester and I went for a drive today through a part of Buckinghamshire that we don't normally visit. This is a view of the parish church of St. Bartholomew in the village of Fingest. Its architecture is interesting and unusual for an English church. Sadly, I can't yet show you why because none of the shots I took of it this time turned out well enough to post. I'm determined to go back and have another try some time, though! There's some pictures and info. here : http://www.hambleden-valley-churches.org.uk/FINhistory.htm
Meantime I've posted a part-view that I do quite like.
I wonder how old this church is - It sure is interesting. I'm getting a nice education in english history and architecture and thoroughly enoying it.

Yes, gorgeous lighting. We had similar ideas today! I like the tre branches against the blue of the sky. The church looks quite old, and interesting.

Cool churchyard. Nice place. What a lovely sky - not a cloud to be seen.

That church entrance is so unusual, well spotted. You have taken a great photo of it, shown the age of the church.

Lovely traditional porch though.
