DISASTER !!
All the useful bits and pieces Henella had collected and stored in the hayloft had disappeared! What had happened to them??
Henella suspected it was Rossini, that thieving magpie, who had made off with them. If that was the case, she'd never get them back.
Poor Henella, she was in a real flap. How was she going to decorate that egg now? What could she use? She knew that she was no Dami-hen Hirst but she had so wanted to experience the thrill of the artistic creative process.
Suddenly, she had a bright idea.
It would involve a significant sacrifice of course. But by the Great Chicken and the Great Egg* she would make it. She would decorate that egg!
* Chickens don't know which of these came first, so they revere them equally to be on the safe side.
