Folly by dulciknit

Folly

One of those 'better on large view' ones again!
We've been enjoying a week of beautiful spring sunshine here and trying to get out and take advantage of it as much as possible.
Today we went for a walk round Stowe landscape gardens. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/stowe/
It's all very grand and there's lakes and all sorts of follies and monuments dotted around. This is the gothic temple. We didn't go right up to it, it's further off than it looks. But fancy having a back garden big enough to fit something that size in!

Oh yes I agree. A garden large enough for a folly would be good. I like the composition of your shot. The folly does look very grand.

I've stayed there! It's a Landmark Trust property and you can rent it. It is amazing and this picture is great as it really gives a sense of the oddness of its location and appearance.

@cgould It's a fantastic building, isn't it? And you stayed there? Cool! I'd love to own something like that.
