Lock and bridges

Many thanks for looking and commenting on my shots. I do appreciate your kindness, and the supportive and encouraging comments you post.

A view of the Grand Union canal. The tarpaulin covers the cargo area of a working narrow boat. There is a small cabin at the back of the boat which is the living area for its owners.

I went to the chiropractor's today, so not the best time to be taking photos. This got passed up for the drumstick shot last week so I thought I'd post it today. It's sort of relevant because I do my post-treatment walk by a stretch of the canal. Not this particular stretch though; this is near the reservoirs in Marsworth.
I just liked all the lines going on. :-)
Wow, great shot! You certainly get around

Smashing shot, I love the lines as well. and love canals too. I'm going to the Osteopath at mo for a trapped nerve in my shoulders, and my shoulder pain in general, have had 7 weeks off work with it before I discovered the Ost wish I'd gone there in the first place.

I like the view under the arch showing the loch gate, I think. Nice composition of the whole scene, quite a different angle for a change. Hope the chiro has worked is magic.

Interesting perspective. I like the way your eyes are drawn to all the various lines.

Thank you, everybody. :-)

@denidouble Thank you, Deni. Sorry to hear about your trapped nerve - I know just how painful they are! Osteo's are very good at sorting that type of problem out. All the best for a speedy recovery.

@cgould @jennywren Thank you, both. I have a dodgy lower back problem. It's chronic but, fortunately, regular chiropractic treatment keeps it in check.

@jenrobcarr Thank you, Jennifer. It's eased off quite a lot now, although I'm stuck with it for the duration - old age and decrepitude and all that. :-D
As for operating locks being a long job, just imagine going through these : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caen_Hill_Locks !!
