Life in plastic

Lester and I went to Ham House in Richmond on Tuesday*. There's currently an exhibition of sculptures and sort of performance art stuff there. I'm probably a philistine but I couldn't help thinking of the Hans Anderson story "The Emperor's New Clothes" ** when I saw some of the stuff and read the explanations in the catalogue that someone insisted we take. Some of the explanations were as incomprehensible as the work itself!
I didn't understand what this woman's head on a stick was all about either but I did like it for the light effects.

*Written Thursday; still all out of sync after gallivanting, a busy weekend, and smarting from a visit to the chiropractor!

Ahhh.. So this fits under the "oh. Look. It's art." category. :-) You did catch some interesting light play there.

Fabulous angle shot and the lighting and focus is beautiful. You captured this work of art so well.

That lighting is lovely

Glad for the commentary - kind of agree with the "oh look, it's are" comment, but the lighting and color are marvelous. Some art work does leave me rather puzzled about the intent - this may be one.

Good lighting and colour. It is amazing what some people see as art. I think it sounds like an interesting exhibition if unusual.
