Many thanks for all the views, the kind comments and favs. I'm so pleased that the trainers shot raised a smile and a laugh or two. It's always nice to think that you've caused a bit of cheer for others.
I was in a bit of a rush on Saturday and had to go to the farm shop to get some sausages. On the way I overtook a steam driven road roller and thought - Aha, today's shot! - it was made in the same county as me, so it was doubly relevant. I reckoned I could buy the sausages and get to the convenient bit of ground outside the shop before it arrived. I was right. But just as it rounded the bend a stream of traffic appeared on the previously deserted road and obscured it from view. By the time it had cleared, the steam roller had reached the Wilstone village turn off. And it turned off. :(
Good job I spotted this spider and passed the time taking a couple of photos while I was waiting for the roller to turn up.

This has very pretty lighting and it looks as though the rainbow has found the spider, wonder if he'l claim his pot of gold
I love spiderwebs. Such works of art. I have a huge pregnant spider in my garage that I try to take pictures of but she is very shy and in an awkward spot.
