Totem

May be better on large view if you have a moment, because there's lots of detail. Thank you.

Lester and I went for a walk in Windsor Great Park, near the Savill Garden, today. There's a totem pole there (it was a gift to the queen from the people of Canada, presented in 1958. It's a 100 feet/30.5m tall) and this is a shot of part of it. I had a bit of a play with it.

There's some more info. about the totem pole here if you fancy a look: http://www.thamesweb.co.uk/windsor/info/totem.html

Absolutely neat picture. I would never have connected an English park with a totem pole. This is so interesting. Fascinating detail.

Lovely shot. Nicely done. Actually I love going there. It is a lovely place. The chestnut trees are wonderful in October. If you walk from the totem pole up the hill to the car park you get some wonderful chestnuts - just right for an open fire. Wow... evocative!

100ft tall? How amazing. Would like to see some more shots of this in the context of its surroundings. It makes me wonder how it looks within the garden. Intriguing.

@sabresun Will see what I can do next time I'm down there - it's a place we visit quite often.
