The 'detector' is a stone pineapple sitting on a plinth behind the fence. It's rather unusual because these are usually found on places like gateways and at the sides of steps on grand houses. For anyone not familiar with UK roads, we have thousands of static speed cameras and the police also use mobile cameras in the backs of vans or handheld. Even the law abiding amongst us tend to get a bit stressed out by the things.
