The snow storm that hit on Saturday in the Northeast US was one of the worst in history. Over 800,000 households in the state (4+ million total) without power, tree branches everywhere, roads and schools closed and Halloween was rescheduled. It is crazy here! If you want gas, be prepared to wait in line for 1-2 hours. You can't get a generator or firewood and temperatures dropped to 24F/-5C last night. Luckily, my parents didn't lose power, so we are at their house until ours is restored. This is a map from the electrical company. Sounds like Scotland last Winter.. we got shut off due to massive snow.. but temps dropped to minus 16 c here.. its horrid, i would not wish it on anyone with no power.. Glad you are safe x
I am so happy and relieved to be in the pale yellow section. Though I worry about one of my daughters, who has her own place in the black section with a spot of pink.
