Taken at the Longland Nature Reserve near Egremont. I was lucky to get this shot because just behind me was a little child that had slipped the control of his parents. The swans slid into the water with simple dignity.
I was having a first outing with a new lens, rather liking it ...and it will develop my upper body strength!!
Glad you were able to land this shot... very nice first outing with the lens... it must be a beast like my 150-600 which weighs in at 4lbs/1.81kg. I haven't really shot hand held with this but I've seen many, many photographers use huge lenses without support... I'm definitely envious of them. In your shot I love the way the parent on the left is looking over the ducklings while the one on the right is more concerned with getting to an itchy spot.
