All your letters in the sand
cannot heal me like your hand
in a land that our grandchildren knew
- '39, Queen
I didn't quite understand the lyrics of this song. I mean, I understood the words, but not the meaning, so googled it and it's so cool! '39 is a song about an astronaut who left the Earth and came back after a year, but he traveled with the speed of light, so the time that seemed like a year to him was actually one hundred years here on Earth, so when he came home, his wife was dead and he only met his grandchildren. And he is sad because it was only a year for him, but his wife died thinking he was dead, that's why ,,All my life, still ahead, pity me."
The song was written by Brian May, who studied astrophysics, that's probably where he came up with the story. :D
And to write something about the photo, today we were in Zermatt to see the Matterhorn, and we saw it without a cloud! They say that it's usually covered in clouds and we were lucky to see it without them and it was so cool! It's the mountain on the logo of Toblerone 😁
Hola!
I'm from a little town and I love reading, travelling, music and photography. In my head, everything has a soundtrack. I have a whole fictional...
@mike67 exactly! I was listening to it (for like the millionth time but still thinking that it's the kind of song "yaay we're singing about love and we're happy") and heard "your mother's eyes cried to me" and was like "wait a minute..." 😮😅

from your eyes
cried to me

Don't you hear my call though you're many years away?
Don't you hear me calling you?
Oh yeah, I've also been puzzled by the lyrics...
The melody of the song is so light-weight and swinging!
your mother's eyes
from your eyes
cried to me
