St. Mary's Episcopal Church by eudora

St. Mary's Episcopal Church

Weyanoke, Louisiana

Built in 1857, the church was deconsecrated in 1947 because improved transportation made it possible to attend church at the larger Grace Episcopal Church in nearby St. Francisville.
Beautiful to see the brick with plaster that used to cover it. All in all a wonderful looking old church even in its decline. Love the shot n B&W too , Diane!

There is something so sad about this. I don't know why. It's a beautiful shot though. I love the lighting and the contrast of the exposed brick to the plaster.
