Ashland Belle Helene by eudora

Ashland Belle Helene

Completed in 1842, Ashland Belle Helene is probably my favorite River Road plantation house. It was quite run down when the B&W photo was taken by the Historic American Buildings Survey in 1936. Today it is stabilized and maintained by current owner Shell Chemical but is rarely open to the public. I drove by yesterday to take some film shots--these are digital, though. The film will take a while.
This collage shows how well it is being kept up. Beautiful different views.

The four different sizes of photo work well together and the quality and detail in your colour photos show that film still has a lot of life left in it.

@nairda Thanks, Adrian. These shots are actually digital. My film will have to be developed.
