When all the doors are closed

As I was looking for a picturesque old door for the 52 week challenge, I found someone's. . . home? The building is an old city fire station, closed for years and painted with murals. The porch is shaded by trees, good on a day like today when the heat index is around 100. But coming toward me was a large woman, walking in the full sun, taking a few steps before pausing to rest, then taking a few more steps. I hope this is not where she lives.

I know. People have choices. St. Vincent de Paul is a quarter of a mile away and help is available there. But still, no one should live like this.
Good find and I agree.

Rather disturbing, I agree.

Are you suggesting someone lives on the porch?! That does seem a bit harsh. I was thinking they live inside and that didn’t seem like it would be so bad but maybe I’m wrong. Whatever the case it’s a spectacular photo with all those murals

Good shot- it's a tough call because sometimes folks choose to live like this for a number of reasons- none of which we find to be reasonable, but somehow they do.
