This bumblebee was having a hard time exiting this rose blossom. I shot this on my patio during my lunch hour. I am lucky to live 2.4 miles from my job, so I often come home and have lunch with a view of the bushes, butterflies and bugs!
That certainly does improve the lunch hour! What a nice break in the day that way. This is so pretty - love the rich pink and the wonderful focus on that bee. It's fun to watch them when they get inside a flower. I believe you were right on the partridge pea as being a member of the vetch family. We have lots of them around here.
