You guessed it. This is what I wore today. Pretty freakin' boring. Can you tell I'm running out of steam with this project? A little over a hundred days left. Trying to push on through.
Not boring by almost every conventional definition. Striking color. Striking figure. All very nice.
But the steam thing. That I get. With full time work and full time school, steam tends to be at a premium for me. Last week I was doing macros of grooming equipment and had the exact same thoughts as you. How boring. No steam. What am I doing here?
But there's inspiration here in the 365 Project. Have you looked at what @adamj has been doing lately? He's getting street shots of the type that you probably pass every day. The shots are there in virtually every moment...if you look for them. It doesn't take time, just observation. Keep your eyeballs peeled. You'll find them.
Love your necklace. Does it mean something? And that is a very nice sweater. I like what Tim says above about ideas...NYC is a mint of photo ops. Wanna trade locations for a few days;-). Keep em coming, lady. You are doing great!
@timerskine Thanks, Tim. Actually, I see shots all the time which I end up capturing with my iPhone. I have several pics I could share in a day (most of which I post to my instagram and are probably a bit more interesting in subject matter) but I feel like I've been posting too many lower quality phone pics to this project. When I get home to my "real" cameras, I feel like I've exhausted all my inspiration snapping away with the iPhone. Clearly a solution is to bring my other cameras with me to work, but it makes my purse too damn heavy lol.
@amandal thanks for the encouragement, Amanda! The necklace has sentimental value and was given to me as a gift. I like to think it symbolizes eternal love. It's the Eternal Circle pendant by Elsa Peretti. A fave of mine. Yes, NYC has a lot of photo ops. I suppose I could post more of those pics I take daily with my phone...
I always look forward to your photos and comments. You are really a good photographer and writer. Your work has had a positive influence on my recovery from the vacation back blues and lead to my interior black and white photo. so thank you for the good work and inspiration.
Very nice, good light and tone. It can be tough to find inspiration, I am now starting to look to create images instead of capturing the obvious such as more flowers! Good luck with next 100 days!
