One thing I've always known about my photography habits is that I do not like to take pictures of people. Not sure why, really.
In my professional life, I study people all the time - their behavior, their appearance, their tone of voice, their facial expression. In fact, it is a part of any Mental Status Exam I do. I love studying people.
But when I take to my camera? It's kinda like....I don't know how to capture on film what I see in my mind's eye. And...That's entirely ok with me. Not soliciting advice here on how to do portraiture, btw. Not my thing. I like landscapes and other such things.
I also would rather be behind a camera than in front of one. The only pics I really like of myself are the ones I take. Mostly because I'm in control over what is shot and how it's shot.
And that's kinda the thing about photography. A modicum of control over what you want the others to see, right?
There are bits and pieces of me in my project. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But that's only the beginning of the story...
95 days left of my project. I have more stories to tell...hope you keep tuning in.
love your point of view on the world Ms t, and i dont know why you dont like to be infront of the camera from what you have shown us you make a great picture.
as for this shot your legs look like an hour glass very nice shadow shot, wish i could do some nice selfie styles like you.
Great Shadow shot . Has some mystery enhanced by the tapering form which meets and then expands in both directions.
Nice use of the merging sidewalk lines and light. The shadow fills the frame with intrigue. A favorite shadow mystery for "she
knows" a fav
that expands in both directions
So nice to hear that someone else has the same "thing" about portrait photography - my goal is to practice and improve - I love people's features and natural inner and outer beauty -- seems to "big" for me to capture.
Love all your selfies - so mysterious and interesting - not sure if that makes sense -

@04haze @siport the angle was fun. I stood with my legs crossed at my ankles to give the silhouette a more interesting shape.
Lines in the pavement are awesome; really makes this shot great!
