I'm, like, smart. No really. I am. I had to take an IQ test once for a job I was applying for at the U.N. It was part of the job interview process and I had to do some of the interview in French as well. I was told I did well on the IQ test and I got the job. Didn't take it though. That's when I decided to change careers. I took another IQ test at a later time and I scored in the 120s. Not sure how accurate it was but...whatevs.
Anyway, for someone who might be smart (jury's still out on that one after you read what I'm about to type next), how the hell did I end up washing my iPhone?
I. fucking. WASHED. my phone. In the washer. Totally accidentally but WTF.
I've been sooo out of it because of a distressing situation at work and I know that's part of the reason why I messed up dinner the other night and why I washed my fucking phone. (Got a replacement btw. HALLELUJAH for insurance.)
I need a break. I need some rest.
I almost didn't post any picture for today. So here's the result of little inspiration and stress.
It's about NYC (more specifically the artist and creative communities - of which I am a part of even if just via marriage) and I couldn't agree more with a lot of the points. I love NYC but there are parts of it that make me just go...ugh.
Anyway back to the main topic. In summary...(like we need a reminder of the obvious)...don't wash your cell phone. And get insurance.
At times we all need a little rest and renewal. To not worry about the job or the "creative" to just be for there are no " Lifeproof" cases for us only the fullness of everything. Thank you for your sharing and story.
Ms. T @timerskine Freudian? Hmm maybe. Lol some might say the iPhone is dirty and evil. As for some connection between that and my alma mater? Some of us NYU alum joke about what NYU stands for after graduation -- Now You're Unemployed. Now You're Underwhelmed. Now You're Underpaid. Maybe I should add Now You're Under-water. Like my phone. Lol I dunno what I'm saying anymore.
