Went to Gramercy Tavern last night to continue a series of birthday celebration dinners and had the tasting menu - both the seasonal and vegetable (shared). So basically...it was like eating a 12-course meal.
I was in heaven. OMG. Heaven. Perfectly portioned and presented. Was even better than my fancy birthday dinner last year at Gotham and that was pretty fantastic.
Now, I'm not a food snob but, like most people, I really do appreciate good food -- whether it comes from a food truck and you have to eat standing up or from a fancy white-table cloth restaurant where they serve the whole table in synchronicity and refold your napkin every time you leave the table and have a floor stool to rest your purse next to you or some shit like that. Doesn't matter to me. But both Gotham and Gramercy are only 1-star Michelin restaurants. I can't even (CAN'T EVEN) imagine what the food and experience is like eating at a 3- Michelin star restaurant. Must be totally fucking foodgasmic.
My favorite courses?
Sea Scallop and the summer squash.
OMG. I just wanted to eat those things forever, it was so good.
Sooo now...it's back to my regularly scheduled dining :( and I'm totally ruined...
@ibt thank you for your fave!
