The statue of the Little Mermaid at Folkestone Harbour looking at the colours of the sun on the water ... taken at an extremely silly hour in the morning. Came home and went back to bed!
Silly o'clock works for this beautiful capture. I misread 'silky' hour of the morning - which I thought was pretty accurate too. You found the perfect place to capture the sunrise. Just love this.
Can't see exactly what silly hour this was as your clock isn't right. Its rather beautiful and you would be glad to get it! Didn't realise there was a mermaid at Folkestone!
@maggiemae I must get around to altering the clock! Sunrise today was at 4.57 hrs. I even have a pre sunrise series of shots too. Such a shame it wasn't a sky full of fire and brimstone, just very subtle and discrete. Surprisingly once you got away from the coast, it was thick fog until a sensible hour of the day. The Little Mermaid is modelled after a local lady and was part of one of the Folkestone Triennials. She's made of bronze and is really rather attractive.
I always have good intentions to get up early and take the sunrise but it never happens at this time of year. Kudos to you for getting up early to get such a terrific shot :) fav
I did see your gif and I thought it was marvelous! Really well done! I am so impressed with your technical abilities!
Well done!
It then disappeared so I assume you deleted it to make some changes. Learning new things can be frustrating - hope it isn't too much trouble for you!
