Something was stirring - all of the bluebells in fact due to a slight breeze. You certainly get bokeh with a Helios - I would have preferred the main subject a tad sharper but please bear with me, it's a learning curve ...
beautiful felicity, the helios does create great bokeh.
All i do is set my camera to aperture priority, select an applicable iso speed, dial in the aperture on the helios aperture ring and them most important manually focus,
Seems to work well most of the time :)
Thanks for that Phil, I never use AP as I jumped straight from 12 years on Auto to Manual. Really must investigate AP. I set the aperture at 2 and then twiddle to use the technical term! My ISO is usually at 100 so I just change the WB when I remember. Been reading reviews of Nikkor 135mm 1:2.8 AI lens - have you ever used one pse?
