I've spent two afternoons trying to get this right, not managed it, and now have given up ... this is the best of goodness knows how many attempts. I have been too embarrassed to count them!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks for those kind words! The video I watched (repeatedly) was:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NI7QRR8p8E
I haven't got an external flash so tried in the conservatory and upped the ISO. I used an incense stick (rather a lot of them) wedged in some florist's foam but the worst thing was the smoke kept moving and I kept losing focus. To jazz it up a bit I added a Nik filter in PSE. It's all a learning curve I guess, and it did stretch me.
Not sure what you had in your mind, but I think this is terrific. It’s got lots of depth and light and dark and vibrancy. It makes your eye follow right through the photo. I think your efforts paid off.
I think this is so intriguing- love how it “ dances” across the page - even if it’s not what you were wanting I think your hard work and headache paid off !!
@fbailey these things are a lot harder than they look if my attempts at bubbles are anything to go by. Yes, maybe one day - this seems like a pretty good start to me.
I think the result is fine. This is another thing on my list of things to do, I really must find some free time.
Thanks for the link, I probably need all the help I can get.
