I played today with numerous combinations of apertures, f stops and ISO settings to not much avail. I used a vintage Nikkor lens but have no flash and most of the shots although sharp showed the colour of this rose as varying degrees of dark pink. Its real life colour is a deep shade of ruby red but this is the nearest I could get to it (and yes, I did resort to Photoshop in the end)! Any advice gratefully appreciated ...
This is beautiful, sorry it took so long to achieve it. You could try a smaller aperture, longer exposure and use light painting whilst shutter is open. If its then over exposed drop down the eV +/- a few stops. You will need to use a pesky tripod thingy!!
@phil_howcroft Phil, thank you - I've just investigated camera, can't find an AWB but I did find the Adjust button for colours which eluded me this afternoon!
@fbailey :) , I used to set my white balance for every shot , but then sometimes forgot and the photos weren't right . AWB seems to work OK most of the time
