Ok - the title is a tad misleading.. in fact it's a big lie. But does the title 'A mass of knitted ear-less bunnies with faces' make any more sense to you? Suspected not.... and why is it on a postage stamp? Because it wouldn't fit a polaroid in landscape - thought that much was obvious!!
#Fret not, gentle folk - it's just another nutty day in Phil's corner of the world.
Thank you, thank you to all the smashing 365ers who popped by my little page to have a look or share a few thoughts - you are all fabulous little gems and marvellous without exception! :)
Hahaha, Phil, I can't stop giggling! I love your corner of the world :-D And of course the first thing I thought was, well, it would've never fitted in a polaroid landscape ;-) Those bunnies are sooo cool!
@bmnorthernlight Thanks, B - Cathy thinks it's weird that you get my jokes...! @catwhiskers Thanks Nan, I'm quite fond of it too, insanity and all. @north_ender Thanks Keith - no relevance except that he was made with mauve wool...! @sabanford Thanks Shirley - actually they are still baby bunnies and haven't grown ears yet...! @paulineb That's the best news I've heard all day! Thank you! @lbmcshutter Thank you - they look quite sweet gathered all together to have their shot taken! @jenirainbow I Thanks Jeni - I think they are in line for ears with any luck. @woot Grazie Davide! I did the faces...
Should explain that my neighbour is a little gem who is always up to something... in her 70s she went to check on a more-elderly neighbour in the snow, fell and broke her wrist. As well as organising a dance for about 100 at the weekend she had been knitting these little bunnies then embroidering their faces then passing them to a lady who would give them ears and tails then pop a little chocolate egg inside and sell them for £1 each to raise funds for the local hospital. Since her 'working' wrist was broken I offered to embroider them for her to save her worrying. This was the last batch I did, and as I sewed them in bed last night with my eyes closing I thought of a cloning process and the shot was born....
It's been a bonkers, busy day all 'round so I decided that posting this bit of nonsense was apt! So glad you liked it too xx
That just makes me smile! I must say, I studied the picture a moment before I read your text and was thinking that those all looked slightly different and wondered how you'd do that with cloning. Ha ha.....it's real.
I think both titles and your narrative is a bit too surreal on a Saturday morning (I got up late ;-) but I do like the shot and I do like the pastel colours.
OK,I just read your explanation and I think everything makes sense to me now...........;-)
Oh Phil, this is really cute and you are such a good person for helping out! I just got an email this morning that said in part:
Life is short! Forgive quickly!
Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably
And never regret anything
that made you smile!
Tell Cathy there are a lot of crazy people on 365 and that we love you for making us smile :).
@allred Thanks Mary Lou, I'll tell her...! Was just thinking of you..I posted a pic of a thatched cottage remembering that you liked them, was about to go and stick your name on it! My neighbour is a lovely lady who is always happy to help others, it was great to be able to do something for her - and this was a good cause which has already made £80 apparently!
