I thought I had to do food/drink yesterday... tried and tried again to do a good shot of my southern comfort & lemonade but in the end gave up and drank it! I'll have to try again another day. (The things we do for 365..!) Cathy and I love mince pies, this is the first this year and it's becoming tradition for Cathy to eat them all and save me the calorie intake..!!
So chuffed with all your comments, always, I read and love every one, thank you so much for stopping by - you're what makes the 365 experience such a good one :) TGIF tomorrow....
I once went to a fancy dress party dressed all in black with a few Polos sewn on my black jumper. I went as a Mint Spy!! boom boom! I am rather fond of Mince Pies, this is a particularly alluring sight.
My mother loved Mince meat pies. I liked it too, but later on found a cookie recipe that I preferred. Haven't had either one in years! This looks yummy.
It does look scrumptious! I sneak a little mincemeat into my buttertarts as my kids never care for the flavour of mincemeat! Together it makes a sweet tasting tart!
I have learned a lot about English Christmas traditions from Rick Steves' European Christmas. I so want you to see it but the dvd isn't available in pal format. Here is a link to youtube so you can enjoy it too.
I have never had a mince pie.
I plan to send you some treats in the mail. Probably going to be after the first of the year. Sorry I'm running behind. However, I think getting a package from afar is always grand no matter what time of year!!
