I laughed when I saw this! I had seen shots of it but hadn't clocked that it actually existed and looked just like this! George and I caught the DLR to and from the Ansel Adams exhibition at Greenwich, and decided to stop off at Canary Wharf on the way back despite the bitter cold...
Didn't really know where we were going and walked into 1 Canada Square by mistake, where a burly friendly security guard guided us outside to the 'bits that are nice to wander around and take photos of'...! Came out to this and just had to look back and get a shot which I B&Wd for posterity. (Is this the building with the pointy roof that you can see from afar?)
Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my shot yesterday... I didn't deserve any praise for the wonderful landscape shot but I'm pleased you liked it too...!
Monday over, Tuesday on the way and soon be Easter. Keep going folks :)
That's a lot of windows to wash! And why is this called Canada Square? and I'm with Cathy, each clock should be a different time in whatever part of the world, even Canada, eh?
Great shot of this imposing building. Have just googled it. It was the tallest building in the UK until the Shard was built . It has a pyramid roof, so is probably the building that stands out from afar
Great shot! I really like the b/w! Adds to the drama! I've never been to London so I can't help you with the building info. Maybe someday I'll get there though- I would like to visit the British Museum!
@purplehaze12 Brilliant Hazel - thank you! I have a shot of it from afar I'll post it later...good old google... Jeeves only offered me hotel rooms near there...!
I think they should set them all to different times for different spots around the world. That would get everybody going for sure.
