Work hit me like a sledgehammer today - then in a dazed trance I went out and bought 2 settees and a footstool!! Of course this means no money (for today's 'coins' shot) and no time for a photo of an empty purse so I decided to sit down, pull up a shot from the archives and enjoy your shots over a glass of wine...!
Took this on the 'penny falls' at Brighton pier when we visited some time ago - you drop several 2p (2 pence or tu'penny) coins down the chute and the rollers chunt back and forth shifting the coins about - if it dislodges another 2p you get to keep it. Sometimes you win 4p and that is just so exciting until you realise you spent 30p to win it. Ah well... happy days...!! :)
So glad you stopped by to see the giraffe peering down at us yesterday - we went to 'Chessington' park in Surrey, they have rides there and a zoo too, this time the rides were so busy we hardly did any and spent much longer at the little zoo which was great and wonderful with a camera! Always grateful for your lovely comments - thank you for stopping by. Have a good week x
One of my friends loves these machines. she'll go to Burnham-On-Sea and take a big bag of coins with her and spend a couple of hours just playing this :o) xx
Fabulous.... I love these machines especially when there are little items to be won. My girls love them too. When hubby heads to Kings Lynn to Beers of Europe next stop Hunstanton 2p machines here i come...
Goodness don't get me started on those machines! Just one more 2p piece...OK just another....eeek! What a fabulous shot. Thanks so much for the help with the poetry club, and for even thinking my little prose here and there is worthy :D. I appreciate it all, I have been so busy lately I haven't had time to navigate this site properly!
I remember thee ones from Brighton or Eastbourne.... fun for about one minute after that just frustrating! And of course you run out of coins just as you need only one more to push them over the edge! Nice shot though ;-)
