...Not your normal kind of view! Parc Güell is incredible, my camera just didn't do it justice.
A chap called Eusebi Güell asked Gaudi to design a stylish living area - most of the houses weren't ever built, but those that were show Gaudi's incredible vision and imagination. Around every corner was a great view, from crazy rooftops like these to a huge arena or lush palm tree groves. Marvellous - and it was free to get in!!
Bit more of a contrast for the next destination on the trip... http://365project.org/filsie65/just-stuff/2013-05-27
So lovely to come back to all your views and comments, thank you - I'm going to post a shot now and again to catch up and spend free time in-between viewing yours :)
So glad you enjoyed your trip. Look forward to see more of your Barcelona shots. Thanks for your comments. We have stayed a few days in Madrid with visits to Toledo and Segovia. Tomorrow we continue to Israel.
I agree with Claire @claireuk, I think they look like gingerbread houses. Wonderful shot Phil. It must be 15 years since I was in Barcelona.... I have to go back!
@gailmmeek Hi Gail! It's up on the hill in Barcelona, Spain, quite a hoik up the hill but worth the walk! Apparently they used to say that 'Barcelona lives with its back to the sea' meaning the upper-classes lived away from the harbour, and the further inland you were, the better. Now that beach holidays are so popular, living close to the sea is the 'in thing' !
Barcelona :D
