Allium

It was very odd, knowing Cathy was waking up on her 19th birthday and I wasn't going to see her. First of many, I know, but still odd. It was a busy day all told, and I made the plunge to tell my closest friends about the sale before the 'for sale' sign outside the house was altered. I went for a walk with my lovely elderly neighbour at the weekend (she says she will miss me dreadfully and I hope she's wrong) and I took this shot in her garden. Perhaps it's because it's Cathy's favourite colour that I decided to slot it in on her birthday. I'll see her next weekend (Cathy that is).
Chuffed to bits with your views, comments and glances, thank you very much :)

Ooh, snap! It's hard when your children start growing up to the point of not needing you as much, and becoming independent, and going and doing their own thing but then you begin to realise what a great job you've done at bringing them up to not need you as much, and to be independent. Plus they always come back :) and then they start growing their own beautiful little people if you're lucky xx

Happy birthday to your daughter Cathy....I could pop up to Lancaster uni & sing outside the campus until she comes out....on second thoughts!
It's so hard when daughters leave home, they are always such good company for mums, not that boys aren't but girls do things with mums so we miss their company. I expect she's had a fabulous day with her friends!
