After the torturous drive up the fells (=mountains up north), we rested awhile by Ullswater then Cathy let slip that there was a 'falls' nearby. AHA! She knows I love falls and on this occasion she did too... the river ran gently or dramatically for a long way down the hill in between the trees and we walked alongside it in the cool green air, with dappled sunlight, sparkles from the water and relaxing water-sounds and birdsong.
I mentioned 'don't waterfalls give off positive ions, or is it negative ions?' Wrong question to ask a Natural Sciences student.... I kind of tuned out to be honest...anyway, we both loved the falls so that was a lot of positivity!
