Alyogyne huegelii by flygirl

Alyogyne huegelii

Another flower from my yard. This is a new one we just added last week called Alyogyne huegelii also known as Blue Hibiscus. The common name is rather misleading. The "blue hibiscus" is neither "blue" nor a "hibiscus". There will undoubtedly be people pleased to note that the blue is really lilac and that forms with purple blooms are available commercially in Australia and in the USA.

Thanks for coming by and taking a look. I appreciate your visits and hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Nice and simple, likin' the "pinwheel" shapes--awesome!

I love this. It looks as though the light is shining on the centre of the flower
