Cat Tales

Thoughts? I always wondered why they were called Cat Tales. They look more like stubby dog tales.
Methinks they're closer in resemblance to a cat's tail than a dog's tail. Not the length, perhaps, but the general shape and size. They are lovely to behold, regardless!

Sorry - they don't look like anybody's tail! Is this a bullrush? Nothing like a bull either!

@maggiemae Not sure what they are called elsewhere, but in the US they are called cat tales.

Haha perhaps the person who nicknamed them cat tails didn't know how to spell dog.

@flygirl You get so many definitions. in my youth in Germany they were called Pompesel or a slang name Lampenputzer (something to clean lamps with, manybe for the length of the stalk and when the top opens later on and get softer and wider to use for cleaning inside a bulb (street lamp)
