Someone in Arizona told me this was called a Desert Poppy. I don't think it could be, looks more like from the Mum family. If anyone knows, please let me know. At any rate its pretty, so I took a shot. happy Monday!
I can't confirm where you saw and photographed this, but it looks a great deal like a cactus flower. If you weren't photographing it on a cactus, you'll have to keep asking around!
