Oh for crying out loud

Mr Pig here. I thought today was going to be completely uneventful, but after dinner, those enterprising squealers decided an event would be in order. I had watched them all day while Crystal went to a special meeting. We played games, they ran around in the yard for a couple hours, they ate a good lunch, they took a nap, we watched some cartoons, they played outside, they ate a good dinner. I was just breathing a sigh of relief that we were home free, so I proposed that we all have a cup of hot cocoa before bed. Unbeknownst to me, the rooster cup is all of their favorites. No one wanted a different cup. They all HAD to have the rooster cup. That was the only possible cup. First there was wailing. Then they started punching each other, which led to more wailing. The upshot? Not only did no one get the coveted rooster cup, which has now gone to live on top of the fridge, but no one got any hot chocolate, either, which also led to more wailing. I have banished them to bed and am going to make myself a cup of hot cocoa while I wait for Crystal to return.
Awe, Daddddddddddddd

Sounds like the squealers had just too much excitement in one day. Tomorrow is all new.

Unfortunate — but you handled that very appropriately. There are logical consequences to that kind of behaviour. They were probably, as @shutterbug49 suggested, worn out from all the rest of the day. Fingers crossed for tomorrow and hot chocolate.

Positively delightful - I read it all with a smile - as would 100 children. I guess we are all children at heart! Light and definition is really good too!

Awww- it's tough sometimes- but I think it's the only way children learn- when they can't share or take turns, everyone loses. Good shot!
