Bloodroot 3 by francoise

Bloodroot 3

The three graces. Hope you all are not sick of this particular flower yet because more is coming. It's raining today, so probably no new ones from ground level (I'm already dressed for work and won't be home until 8 this evening...). But I have a supply.
I like these little flowers - nice to see them closed uo too. I don't like that branch though!

Don't stop with these! I love their simplicity! These are gorgeous. I'm not familiar with this plant. I don't think we have them in Alabama.

They are pretty little things against the ugly twig...

@vignouse I agree. Looking at what I thought might be a nice frame for the flowers, I see the branch (which is a grape vine) is dark and overpowering for the little things.

I'm looking at all your Bloodroot shots and it's finally dawned on me- I have one of these in my garden transplanted from a friend's wooded property. Now I can't wait for it to bloom again! This is pretty, but yes, the vine is slightly over-powering. If you're a purist, you wouldn't move it. But if you aren't and you could adjust it, I'd go ahead and do that. They are still quite pretty as is.

Nice dof. I agree, the branch is distracting, but I like the stage of the flowers. Not often do we see them photographed before they open.

I agree that the branchy thing is a distraction. The white, however, is sublime

I took a ton of pictures on Sunday and am planning on those being this weeks photos. As I have a busy week too. Love this with the flowers not yet open.

Nice focus.

I must be the only one who quite likes the branch being in the background. I think it's much more interesting than usual flower pictures, there is more to see here.
